Consultation on WFR programme

I applied for VR at the 1st window in early June.

I now have a consultation next week.

What does this mean with respect to VR/CR?

The email made one mention to 'avoid compulsory redundancies'...steps haven't avoided redundancies completely.

The email mentions the word redundancy a bilion times of course but no mention of voluntary and only 1 mention of compulsory in the example above.

Is those that chose VR still have the option?

Maybe the VR volunteers got prioritised?

PLEASE READ

In your consultation tell them you have applied for VR

If by some miraculous reason or stupidity, you’re application has been lost, fear not!! You can still apply for VR after your first consultation meeting AND retain the incentives for VR.

Rest assured that your VR is being managed by a bunch of low paid graduates who don't have a clue on how to do their job, especially as training was cancelled to save money.

Could be a very good ploy by DXC to push you into CR rather than VR and paying you the enhanced offer, they could say that they reach all the nos of VR Redundancies (target) but still had to make the redundancies nos via CR also.

They possibly don't need to accept anyone's VR even if you put one in but putting in the CR bracket - i'm not sure on legal aspect ? they probably be able to fiddle it somehow

If it's Consultation then you are clearly in CR pot, if you've had nothing back with regards your VR application then it probably suggests it wasn't progressed due to the incompetence of someone elsewhere, you should have been informed one way of the other.

I'd raise the issue at your CR consultation, have the evidence at hand showing you VR application and push for them to honor those terms. That's if indeed you truly want to leave, I had to chase my VR multiple times and missed out on the majority of gardening leave as a result...it was a bit depressing seeing my colleagues leave weeks before.

You expressed an interest, so they'll have to honour the "incentive" if CR were to happen. I received a mail yesterday saying the deadline had been extended and they should get back to me with an answer in the next two weeks. Unfortunately, I was also in a group call where it was made clear that they had achieved the required level of cuts (i.e. they had enough VRs and didn't anticipate further activity in the group (33% gone btw))..... the crazy thing is the original email was for Q1 with an exit date of July 8th, the Peter Hands subsequent email was for Q2 with an exit date of July 31st, when they haven't even finished the Q1 processing... 3 weeks between them, when 1 quarter last for 3 months... there's no way they could argue these are somehow "different rounds".
