Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Where could layoffs happen next?

Is it even possible to predict such a thing at DXC? Any info or indication, what locations could be hit next? Any meaningful info is appreciated.

You can always tell on Wednesday or Thursday before you get WFR/RIF if you see an email from myTime that someone changed your time card for you. If you see an edit from myTime in your inbox then management will have the conversation with you on or before Friday.

Anyone in CONUS (continental united states) is at risk, especially if the contract approves Puerto Rico as a work site. For those of you that did not know or realize, PR is a territory of the US and everyone sitting there is a citizen and there are no ITAR or EXIM issues with sending work there. If you sit CONUS and someone in your org sits in PR, they are working on moving your job to that site. If your org or contract mandates CONUS, they are working on moving you to New Orleans where they are putting their new data center.

Look at your position and ask yourself, can someone do my job for less than I do it now if they moved the position to one of the above areas? If the answer is yes, you are on the list.

The CEO even said in one of the Town halls that DXC is moving in the direction of releasing higher paid employee's and replacing them with lower paid.

Layoffs around the world will be an ongoing process until there is nobody left to do the work or the company is split/sold.
