Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

When is BD or his Senior Management going to have a Town Hall to tell employees about AIG 200

Not that a Town Hall is going to really explain what AIG 200 is. I am wondering why BD and the Senior Management who come up with these new ideas like AIG 200 don't have the common courtesy to regroup with the employees and have a Town Hall and explain it a little more. They need to develop some communication skills with the organization. Maybe go on Talent and find a course or two to help them with that. It's amazing how many employees in this organization haven't a clue what is going on. Lack of true leadership.

Totally agree with post Post ID: @ZEiUh3b-7tbo. Very disappointed with the town hall on 8/8. BD had to fill it in with a women's campaign so that he didn't have to answer questions submitted to him as well as be transparent about what is in the works. He never talks about the RIF's that are going to take place. Not sure why he just isn't transparent and honest about the direction AIG is going and how they plan to do more with less employees.

AIG is worthless. Life support until all the big wigs cash out. Think about it... how many lies have you heard in ... let’s say the past two years... and yes, ambiguous statements count as lies. How many?

Look for big cuts. That's how McKinsey is getting paid, a percentage of the budget cuts. It isn't about working hard - if AIG was a car, it would need an overhaul. I notice they continue to hire senior leadership from outside. That's a sign there's no upward mobility in this company for the lower grades and a lack of confidence in their ability to contribute to turning this place in the right direction.

Look for relocation initiative to gradually kick in, which is a soft RIF in and of itself. AIG will lose many people that they can't afford to lose.

August 7th. A prelude to Wild Fire and Hurricane season. Enough to cause 175 Water St to cringe.

The primary reason AIG 200 has not been fully explained is that it basically represents a reorganization and a reduction in staff. No one wants to hear that a percentage of the company needs to be let go so they are not expanding on this.

We need to work, work, work to get the costs down. Earning report is important to all stockholders. Lets focus on the job and not what BD and team are getting. You all get a pay check so earn it.

Second Quarter Results will be released on August 7, 2019 so BD will host a town hall on 8th August. We can expect some information about AIG 200 in this town hall if he decides to talk about it. But similar to the previous quarters we will have layoffs before this date.
