As someone already posted, Chesterfield people... do not waste £14 a month signing up to the union.
They are a mostly waste of time and money. Perhaps the only benefit they can offer you is if you have issues at work then having a union representing you makes it a tad difficult for DXC to f--- you over.
They used to say in the CSC days they need more members to organise strikes etc. It’s called collective bargaining... the more members the better deal we can negotiate. Bit like paying the heavies to go and fight for you. Well guess what, over 10,000 HPE staff merged with CSC and it still isn’t enough for the bozo Len Mcclusky to take notice. How many more f---ing members does he need. Granted not all HPE staff were members, but whatever they bought was more than what CSC could have conjured up.
Lots of sites have closed before Chesterfield and nobody could do a damn thing. The collective VR numbers for this qtr are higher than 300 staff that you have. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if your site is genuinely marked for closure get your CV brushed up and start looking for a job.
Hoping the union will save the day is more wishful thinking than using a chocolate fire guard.
