This comment from another thread tells you all you need to know. Oracle’s procedures for incorporating and assimilating new companies into the “WOW” (Way Oracle Works), are polished, practiced and under constant improvement. If you joined Oracle from an acquisition, or participated in the myriad projects to incorporate those employees and the technology and management, you know that is true.
The products? Pretty much the opposite. Little or no innovation. Poor or non-existent support. Bare minimum for staffing. Training is meh, unless it’s one of the twice a year mandatory legal beagle things so Oracle doesn’t get sued for s-xual harassment or corruption, etc. Those are very thorough.
You know they could be a tech powerhouse if they would apply a fraction of attention currently paid to acquisitions and legal resources to actually inventing something.
