The only true thing in their reports is: Oralce laid off around 900/1600 ppl in China in May 7/8.
Some rumors are prevailing but not confirmed: there will be another round(s) of layoffs to execute the other non-sales ppl, then CDC will shutdown permanently(Sales ppl doesn't belong to China Development Center)

I think this will be "services" more like "corporate services", and although I have no visibility I think this is a tax reduction thing.
Oracle Corp owns and develops technology and IP. Oracle Services employees people but doesn't actually own any IP. Instead it pays a licencing fee to Oracle Corp (or another subsidiary based in a tax haven) to use that IP, which coincidentally costs the same amount as any profits generated by Oracle Services so it pays no tax as it "makes no money".
That's how Google, Facebook, etc all do it.
LE never liked "services" beyond the lucrative maintenance and support business, like consulting, professional services, etc. This seems like a good opportunity to spin them off, and sell them.
