Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Good news from the west coast

Sounds like XBS is getting some much needed positive news tonight or tomorrow. Includes good news for those employees who were rebadged. Don’t know all the details, but tenured and trusted leadership just confirmed good news is coming shortly. Light at the end of the tunnel? Long time Global employee here hoping it’s true.

To the person who said they were “fired today”, did you receiver severance? What was the reason for this action?

Badged over to hcl on April 1st. Fired today. Don’t get your hopes up with that 6 month grace period thing.

Still waiting for e-mail from HCL with the 6 month / 60 day notice / severance details

We all knew many (all) of us would be let go by HCL.

This provides some certainty (min of 6 months of pay, benefits, 60 day notice and severance) which is much better than I originally thought.

Assuming the information above is true, I would rather work for HCL then to get IRIF’d through Xerox.

This should provide plenty some runway to find another position.

it's good news for HCL only

pay attention people: HCL will let you know when you've served their purpose and when you have they will sing the Nsync song "bye bye bye"

if you think you have a long career ahead of you with Xerox i'm sorry to day we will eventually be kicked to the curb

To "rumors at best"

i was rebadged, we had a meeting today, other cores will back up everything said

the only good i see is that for the next 6 months should you choose to stay you don't have to wonder " will i get the axe today"

today proved all jobs will end, it's just a matter of when

Rumors at best

What this person stated is true. A meeting was held at my core today with our HCL rebadgers and this is what they were told. This is not a rumor. They were told your contract is a min of 6 Mos. And that if they do terminate your contract, you will get a 60 day notice. Severance will be paid and will be per Xerox’s severance policy. There was also mention of HCL trying to improve their English/accents. I don’t know what clown thought this was good news. The people in my meeting were very upset.

oh also , if you weren't rebadged in the april 1st or 16th rounds then you won't be rebadged in 2019, now who knows what 2020 will bring?

however doesn't mean you won't get let go by mama x if you were'nt rebadged

personally i just can't see HCL being able to handle the leasing, booking deals, billing out equipment and setting up contracts with no prior knowledge of EA or the copier industry, these jobs take years to perfect!

This is the news, HCL will not get rid of you for at least 6 months, if and when they decide they don't need you then they will give you 60 days notice, you will then get severence (max is 8 weeks)

so basically you are a contracted worker with a 6 month assignment

oh you know they are hoping your replacement will know your job in 6 months and then they say "bye bye s---ers", go away now we don't neef you now

Xerox knows they did this whole rebadging thing too fast and thst HCL oversold their capabilities, duh, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out

lastly, if training someone you must be able to understand their english. if you can't then you must report it asap as HCL was told their english must improve

that's about it, so take your knowledge and run, don't give it to them!!!!!

What is this “good news” that was supposed to come today?

I want this to be true. I, too, am an optimist who believes everything will unfold as it should - but after working at a core company at a job I truly enjoyed for many years - I am very saddened by what is happening and the great people that are moving on. If there is good news to be had - we need fast or there will be nothing left to save.

After being a long time and loyal employee makes me not want to work for an employer that does not want to investment in me. There are plenty of companies out there that actually care about their employees and customers. Good luck to all global customers calling overseas for help. We as XBS can’t even get Xerox customers help when we call overseas with issues!

Plllllleeeeeaaaaassseeee! We’re due for good news. I’m an optimist, but have to admit even I was about to crack. Sometimes we need to relax, panic doesn’t always solve your problem, but it often creates new ones.
