Yeas it was a good move as time will tell. Not convinced? For calibration, just compare it to the XOM XTO purchase.

Even plan save azz might not work with the brown nosing strategy. There will be a surprising number of Chevron managers, supervisors and team leads replaced by Anadarko people. It will definitely be hunger games time. Pick your side carefully.

Yeah, Chatty Kathy, it may take an entire year to implement the merger of personnel and budget plans before the hunger layoff games begin, but if you’re an employee crossing the 50 year old threshold at this moment and you still have 10 years left on your mortgage, it’s time to implement ‘Plan Save Azz”. Better start networking, polishing up your resume, brown-nozzin’ with the right clique, and quit coming in late for work. People with a higher pay grade than you are starting to write their list of casualties.

The buying company al warming lost always has a drop in stock price, the company being bought almost always has an increase in stock price. Just wait it out for a year and then check the results for Chevron. It may take an entire year to implement the merger of personnel and budget plans.

How it is considered as a good move when from day 1 (today) after the announcement:

Anadarko Petroleum stock price sudden rise from $41 to $55

Chevron CVX shares dropped from $125.80 to $119

How do you explain it? I have lost $28,000 of my retirement stock fund in Chevron today.

There is no such thing as merger. Only acquisition exists...

Also, you will receive a 3 months severance carrott for all your years of blood and sweat. You are now a commodity in the eyes of chevron and will be treated accordingly

Anadarko employees. This is a horrible deal for you. As a former chevron employee, no one will tell you the truth but many of you will loose your jobs. It doesnt matter if you are well thought of at Anadarko and one of the hardest working best employees. Evennif you have 30 years of service, they will call you in and give you 1 hour to pack your bags. The chevron manager that gives you this message will also have a Houston police officer standing next to you and escort you out the building. Don’t give them the satisfaction. Start your job search now

Good move. Chevron buying production and reserves, plus the Saudi declination isa sure sign that oil will top $100 a bbl within a year or two.

So many Anyone know what the anadarko culture is like? It's it compatible or oil and vinegar?

Merger timeline?

Impact to ongoing projects vs. new merger projects?

Do we keep both the woodlands and downtown Chevron offices?

Another driver to move headquarters out of California?
