The axe has been shining and it will be used soon - the mayhem arrives.
RV is also soon gonna exit after he recovers his money from his first year at Oracle.
Does PS know for sure if he himself will survive? This is likely a upper management trick to k--l it softly when you least expect it. PSM will die. If not today, then soon enough.
There should be limited impact as was told by PS during his visit.
Will happen in a staggered manner before end of April. Initial plan is 50% from the surviving lot.
if it is planned to happen, it will happen before the all hands.
The point is that Oracle by definition has hired losers and now some of them are let go. It is a cash rich company which thinks they can buy any talent at any price (read the jerks in Seattle) and create cloud products as stupid as the ones on PSM or the shiny OCI. Login to the OCI UI console and you could see a kindergarten kid's favorite school drawing project. Lack of intuition and usability.
The whole let go exercise is more of a survival of the politically powerful than a future business strategy.
They will face the same fate once this monkey business called OCI is down in a few years and Oracle is ripped off by a few billion more.
PSM's management rats have already jumped ship and left behind their reports in true spirit of Oracle management. They got an year to look out for jobs but couldn't, hence took an internal transfer under the same boss who scr**** this product line in the first place.
RP (snr dir in USA) and RM (snr dir in India) have left.
BS and NM (both dir in India) are also taking internal xfers.
So top mgmt is almost out..
PS (snr dir in USA) is here only till he completes his MBA in July..
This is a dead org and the last person to believe about the future of this org is PS who is a complete hipocrite and lies blatantly thru his teeth..
There is so much of production customer services running which were provisioned using psm. It will be a while before they can move away from psm. Just to support the existing customer base I don't see any major impact in a low cost center like idc in the near future.
US boss who visited India said that there will be very limited impact, so no need to worry.
