I got laid off at Xerox a couple of months ago, before the whole HCL situation. I’ve been unemployed ever since. I’ve seen a job opening at HCL for which I’m qualified and managed to land an Interview. It’s not a topic directly connected to Xerox layoffs bu I was hoping to get some info on how does HCL view former Xerox employees, given the current situation

I say go for it! You will be gainfully employed again, and if you choose, you can continue to job search. In the Rochester area, I am running into people who are laid off from supposedly go-to companies that are a solid bet. You never know what a change in direction a company might take that could impact you. An example in the Rochester area is Constellation. A strong company, but if you work at the Canandaigua winery, tomorrow you're working for Gallo.
