Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Grab your life jackets

Xerox is a sinking ship, the direction the company has taken in recent months in favour of costs and turnover rather than moral & integrity is nothing short of disgusting (I understand its business but the treatment of employees and the way this news was handed down globally was a shambles). It took 2 weeks for HR to get answers that should have been readily available on Xerox finalising their deal with HCL. Start looking for better opportunities, there are plenty out there.

I agree that Xerox corporate HR:

  • does not ensure appropriate communication to employees

  • does not provide job function they are paid to do

  • are highly overpaid figureheads

They don’t even seem to know what employees job function is in the area of their responsibility. Imagine a company HR did not know what their current skill set is within the corporation, did not know that an employees skill set in imaginary C organization is valuable to imaginary Y org to know to Encourage movement ig employee in X org to Y org. That’s our realty. HR does not provide employee recommendations to hiring manager, HR does not facilitate employee movement to a job function needing a particular skill set. Even after the movement to GEMS, HR seems incapable of providing this insight. What is the value ($) these HR D5’s and above provide for their pay? Is that equivalent to another employee in Xerox value $/ return. Who’s is the independent auditor in Xerox scrutinizing this?

Agreed. Moral is broken and continues to get worse with each new policy change. It’s pretty obvious that employee satisfaction is at the bottom of the priority list, and there’s no recovering from it. Get out while you are still in control of your situation.
