Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Back to regular programme

So now that the layoffs came and gone. The number was very anti-climatic and far short of the doom n gloom. I suspect some of ya'll was disappointed.

~1500/139,000

I guess this forum can go back to the regular programme of

  1. bad mouthing Oracle on xyz

  2. predicting its imminent demise

  3. linking to unfavorable articles

  4. dart boarding new layoff dates

By the way to avoid any confusion - regular programmer entail flat or declining revenues, ongoing covered up layoffs, stock buybacks to prop up EPS, and massive share sales by MH and SC - the two CEOs who don’t want to have their money tied up in oracle stock. In other words, the regular programmer is wonderful, ignorant bliss - if you’re a complete and total id--t, that is.

Know the difference between a recession and a depression?

A recession is when your coworker gets laid off.

A depression is when you get laid off.
