Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Not the workers

they need to get rid of, or the work doesn't get done. It's the high paid "too many" Directors, Managers and their buddies that AIG should be targeting in the branches. You all know the ones, they laugh all day, talk all day, take 100 smoke breaks, take over extended lunch breaks, never help the employees with work questions, and of course, they are ALWAYS happy, why? because THEY DONT WORK!!!!

I don’t like AIG because it’s weak and the CEO and executive are pouding on it to feed themselves. BD has no ideas and is dismantling and outsourcing accordingly. Anyone who can milk the cow I applaud.

Brokers don’t even talk to AIG nowadays. They know they are wasting their time. Sad......we should have Hank Greenberg back, I reminisce the good old days under his leadership. Greenberg we need you!

Believe me, I don't want to move up in AIG. They don't deserve hard working employees and i already know it'll probably be the same garbage environment as the sh-- trickles down from the top. Managers think wearing the same outfits on casual fridays that they wear on (broomstick up my corporate a--) Mondays will make them appear more competent...lol. That's a pretty good joke.

Sorry, but there is no bigger OR better jobs at AIG. Where you are is where you will stay AND if you kiss your managers rear, or go out any party with them, you get to stay and continue to do so.

I feel like a lot of the managers (middle level) are on the same level as a lot of the employees. Yeah, they get a fatter salary but still have to answer to the same f---ed up policies and constraints as the line employees. The thing I don't like about a lot of them ( including mine ) is that the more ambition you have, as an employee, to move on to do bigger and better things...the more they try to stifle you and essentially keep you there, until you get RIFd, and youll have nothing to show for your time there. The less intellitent you are, the less you'll question the mindless b---s---, and the easier you make it for your manaher to continue being a little b--chass. But in the end, being an id--tically regressed corporatist will leave you with nothing to show...while being smart about your self development will get you hated..but you will eventually find your place in a company that at least runs like it knows we're in the year 2019 and not 1995.
