Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Is there going to be a RIF in EMEA in June/July?

There are whispers of another rif. Wondering if anyone has ideas of timings.

Looks highly likely, read here: @Z01hMqV

" huge multi-phase staff reductions globally..." have been confirmed by Oracle HR.

"... the company’s head of human resources for the Asia-Pacific region announced that per orders from the U.S. headquarters, Oracle was planning to make some major changes to optimize its business structure, which would inevitably result in huge multi-phase staff reductions globally..."

Again @Z01hMqV summarizes it nicely.

The severance package will be different for all the EMEA Countries. The highest ones will be in France.

So what's the expected severance package? 3 months salary? 6 months?

There is definitely a huge change is coming to EMEA. ORACLE has started pushing employees out of ORACLE proper to an ORACLE branch named Oracle Global Services, this is for all employees that are in services scope. This is going to make it easier to RIF, and reduce compared to when everyone is under ORACLE CORP.

people are no longer working well together here. Everyone is throwing their coworkers under the bus to make themselves look better. It is a very toxic work environment.

Apps sales in Europe will be split between SaaS and on premise. On premise sales only remote. Whole Africa apps sales will be handled by OD (remote). Some teams will get the axe via territorial consolidations.

EMEA SaaS CSMs (field) will be wiped out by August, customers will be "served" from the CSM Hub in Romania. Technology CSMs will follow in Q4FY20.

Dev teams in EMEA working on classic OCI will be reduced throughout FY20.

The biggest rif and usually with more impact are from the people that slam the door and move on with their lives.

Of course there will be more rif's - June, July, August, September...we have rif's every month of the year. Some large, some small and none of them announced. Usually there's a new fiscal year rif in June of salespeople who didn't make their quota's and this year is likely to be the same. If you'e hearing whispers, believe it.
