HCL representatives onsite

Has anyone had contact with an HCL Representative on site at their core? How was the encounter? Did they give any insight about the future?

Ugh, I hate brown nosers!!! Do they not realize that once HCL gets everything they need from them that they too will be let go.

Go find a great new job and when you're all settled in and doing fine you'll see your brown nosed friends in the unemployment line, lol

Core here.

HCL was here this week. We asked all the tough questions, the leaked powerpoint, the leaked 95% offshore document, and all they could say was some bs followed by "thats all I want to say at this time" or "and ill leave it at that."

Pretty sad to see some of the people you work with try and brown nose there way to the top, acting like everything is peachy keen. Majority of people here are older near retirement and are thinking theyll be able to stick it out for 6 months and get a severance, a bonus, and unemployment. Sorry, but they are just simply all wrong. HCL wouldnt have all this documentation and basically be bragging about how many jobs were gonna be off shored.

Also, our admins completely have HCLs backs. No wonder why, they signed a dang NDA. Also one of our admins early on in the process was telling us basically if they were in our position they would be looking for a new job too. That has quickly backtracked to them encouraging us to stay and that even if our jobs are offshored, theres still jobs at HCL that we could apply for.

Good luck everyone...

HCL= Soft Layoff

This is part of the marketing strategy to ensure Xerox has an out. "We didn't layoff anyone, HCL did"

Xerox was 37,000 employees this time last year, now we are 30,900.

All admin positions are in danger, service and sales are the most protected as they are the boots on the ground. Also any failure to meet SLA requirements invites lawsuits hence the protection.....for now

There will be no severence for anyone. HCL will offer you a new c-appy position at a ridiculous low wage. When you refuse, you have effectively resigned.

In Michigan we begin ‘sharing processes’ the first week of May

@soon beegon

keep in mind these people also need to learn EA, did you learn that overnight?

Honestly, if I got let go in October I would be thrilled, give me my bonus, my severence and unemployment and I will be one happy camper!!!

Good advice. Hard to follow.

You think they can’t get it done in EIGHT MONTHS? LOL!

They aren’t going to “fix” all those processes, just understand them.

Look at things without emotion. Look at things as an outsider. Look at things without loyalty.

You will get a much better vision of the reality.

@soon begon, we saw the 53 page leaked doc, it had the timeline, they can't transition 40 cores overnight, I'm sure they will try to get it done sooner

The first transfer to HCL was a long time ago.

From what I saw on the leaked PowerPoint, HCL isn’t going to all the cores. They are not at ours. I wonder how many of them are on-site at the cores they are visiting. Since we haven’t seen them at our core, I think many are in denial, esp those of us who are not rebadged.

There are times where I don’t think about it, and then when I do, I get mad. And sad for my friends that will soon be out of a job. And likely me too.

“Well all waves don't complete until June 2020 so I doubt end of year timeline for all, for a lot, yes, for all, no”

Perhaps you have reason to believe them. That’s up to you. I’ve witnessed previous Xerox/HCL transfers and I believe they will push it all as fast as possible. People will be rewarded for “early completion”. And any type of sale of parts of Xerox can dramatically shorten timelines as well. Time is money and Carl prefers it in HIS pocket.

I laugh because right now I have over 80 different issues I am trying to resolve and if HCL thinks these types of issues are quick "knowledge transfer" items they are in for a rude awakening, I will leave make sure to leave some as my departing gifts!

Here’s some “insight” that seems to be pretty clear and has been demonstrated in previous Xerox/HCL transfers:

They’ll be polite but your job will go away no later than the end of 2019. Until it goes away, you’ll be miserable and rightfully resentful while you teach other people your job.

I will ask if they come to my core, after all we have a right to know!

Fine for John V. Not those who were rebadged. Wonder if anyone will have the guts to ask them face to face about the timeline/ slide show.
