Decided to take a minute during my break today to chronicle this mess that XRX management has brought upon us - at least from one core's angle. Normally I would be posting for jobs now yet this will be better
1: years of mismanagement and a lack of business strategy cause revenues to decline with the only segment of the business arguably worth anything being GIS
2: ICONN and his band of mercenaries, after having the debt downgraded to junk and the stock price go down the toilet, make the decision to slash and burn it all and sell the pieces
3: Top leadership who what was highly respected and liked in the core along with others were terminated and people were angry and upset.
4: our core president pulled everyone together, cracked jokes, and said that we would be fine going forward because we had some big deals coming
5: consultants showed up to document our processes so they could be "shared with the other cores" - LIES
6: more terminations, office closings, merit increases frozen, 401Ks slashed, and our benefits are worse
7: HCL arrives, rebadges some employees and not others causing friction between team members and groups. HCL cannot get a conference call to work right. HCL cannot be understood.
8: HCL accidentally sends out a deck roadmapping and outlining how great they feel about their deal with the XRX devil, how much money they will save because they are firing Americans, and how smart they are. HCL scrambles and tries to recall the message then says it was not accurate.
9: HCL has a 50 page deck with timelines (WAVES) of when we are all going to get outsourced to India and Guatemala. Deck gets published in Imgur and removed but copies are printed and distributed
10: employees are ANGRY and DEMORALIZED. Sales are falling. Employees are telling customers what is happening to them. Competitors are mocking the XBS cores and snagging our customers.
11: Key personnel in the cores are RESIGNING EVERY DAY and going elsewhere and making more money doing so!
12: HCL freaks out not understanding why people would not want to stay in this WONDERFUL WORK ENVIRONMENT when they know they are getting shafted. They quickly offer 1 - 3 months of retention bonus to just about everyone in the hope they will stay.
13: People are angry again. Why do managers get 3 months? Why did this person get two and others got one? People who didn't get rebadged get nothing while others get this stash of money? and the funniest part is that no one at HCL bothered to do any research as to who should get these bonuses as a good amount of people got them yet have no ability to go anywhere else.
14: the best part of all of this: HCL had to blow a lot of money because they are dimwitted amateurs that have no idea what to do. The talented people are still leaving and no one will want to come work in this torture chamber.
What will the next few weeks bring to this story? Hopefully I will not be here to know as I have second interviews planned!!!
