Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

HON (and the others) Stock

Today I took what I'll call a giant dump, since I think those words won't be auto-edited. I got rid of every cent of my HON stock (along with the three hangers-on that resulted from the recent jiggery-pokery). I first started adding AiResearch (can't remember the symbol from those days) to my stock-sharing program in the early '80s and continued until last August. There were a couple of splits back in the '80s, followed by the Allied-Signal & Bossidy era. Oh boy.

Either way, I'm fully divested, including the 17 shares I got back in 2013 when they substituted stock for the bonus that year -- that was back when they gave a $hit as to whether you'd quit or not. That was then and this is now.

Oh, and by the way, I'm moving every cent of my 401(K) out of Fidelity and into Vanguard. If the people running HON these days thought Fidelity was a good idea, that's all I need to know.

I have a Fidelity 401k from another company that pretty much suks too. It goes nowhere. It's not just HON.

I am not a stock prognosticator, but totally agree that Fidelity s---s as a 401k administrator. I bet Honeywell saved $$$ by moving their 401k to Fidelity which charges participants higher fees on their funds.
