Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

But at Oracle, the management does not see any value in its employees

Yes people have left. In a normal company, the management would be concerned about the best people leaving, but at Oracle, the management does not see any value in its employees. The management loves people to leave. They don't see the quality and competence leaving, they just see the short term more expensive employees leaving and they are thrilled.

The management is made up of total id--ts with brains that never developed beyond junior high.

They think they will hire cheap replacements in India with no experience and somehow they will magically do all the work for the lying, cheating management in the US.

This post gives a good summation of the whole situation of people leaving. Hope that @YIkWtcV-1vdi doesn’t mind me reposting it.

For the innocents that think they can win a lawsuit for retaliation - please do your research and plan to spend millions in legal fees to try. Oracle has more lawyers than engineers and you'll waste your money trying to sue.

It sounds like you need a lawyer to sue the company for damages. At least, that's what I would expect someone to be able to do in the U.S. I expect that you will have to quit the company at some point, no one can make the management treat you fairly, they can treat you badly without you really knowing what's going on, by just excluding you from things and giving you bad information, etc.

If you sue, you should be able to get money from Oracle for being forced out of your job.... at least in the U.S, I would think that would be the case.

Best wishes to you. I hope you can find a way to bring justice to the whole thing.

"..But now I was retaliated....very badly retaliated... they threatened me I will suffer more......."

You can always escalate it to senior levels in the global HR team, you can include all the upstream seniors in the chain of HR till the top...You can also report on helpline for such stuff.

“deadweight engineers in the Bay Area sooner as they are holding OCI back.”

Those deadweight engineers are the ones paying the salary for everyone. Is the 39bil revenue, what percentage do you think is coming from Seattle? Don’t have to worry about finding the answer, it’s 0 now and even 5years from now.

Seattle OCI some guys are arrogant reckless and zero value in their genes with negativity we only know type atitude who came from AWS azure & they thinkother existing Oracle guys do not know stuff. They laid off majority of those guys unfortunately. Unless they stop that attitude OCI cannot be successful as I have seen new OCI hired with high salaries with poor skills except that they know only how to market and sell themselves. Unfortunate culture

The company values those of us in Seattle working on OCI, we are Oracle’s only hope to right the ship. It’s really too bad that the company can’t get rid of the deadweight engineers in the Bay Area sooner as they are holding OCI back.

The 3 stooges are simply managing the company for short term financial gains to prop up the share price. Look no further than the total destruction of HP by MH - that’s the plan here: ride of on the sunset with as much money as possible with the smoldering ashes of the company in the background. The only perplexing thing about it is that LE - whose fortune and pride are tied to O - hasn’t caught on to this yet. Too busy with other things I guess, will wake up when O share price is at $5 wondering what happened, by which time it will be too late.
