Sick time after putting in resignation

Sick time in the US is no longer paid out after separation from DXC. I have recently put in my notice, and have a little over 40hrs accrued. So if I do not use it I lose it. Should I be "sick" for 40 hours of my last two weeks, or work the entire time out? I must be present the final day before my separation for sick time to count.

Will all the id--ts raise your hand. We are taking a roll call now !!! We will be choosing one as the Biggest id--t Of All.

Don't worry, organizers are not allowed to participate. So, I am not in the running now, although I could have won , hands down !!!!

Sick time by law has never been paid out in most states of the US. Only accrued vacation time and we don't accrue vacation time any more. If you can take sick time then do it, but after 3 days in a row DXC can request a doctor's note to verify your really sick

Having to even ask this question is quite indicative of why you got the axe.

Yes use it or lose it, DXC is a sinking ship anyway.

I'd use it before putting in the notice, but now that you have, definitely use it. Why wouldn't you, if you're going to lose it?

We have "unlimited" vacation, so I wouldn't expect to be paid out for anything accrued, unless you're in a different division and have time off
