Is this a surprise? Icahn care less about what Johnny spends, even if its enough to keep a few more folks employed, than what is does for his share price. I've seen worse, too. I once had a boss who fired one of his two Executive Assistants so that he could use that 'savings' to expand his office so that it was bigger than his rival VP down the hall. They same guy also insisted that everyone on the sales team had to fly coach, even on 7+ hours flights to Europe and Latin America while he was flying the Concorde to London once a month.
Amazing seeing as he stands there on company calls and tells us to spend money wisely as if it’s our own money! The guy is a snake oil salesman or at best a TV evangelist!
He is also using it very liberally for business purposes and ranked up a $300K bill for the disastrous trip to FX last year where they essentially told him to go F$%^ himself! Money well spent Bozzo.
This is not a surprise from the likes of someone like Johnnie Douchebag.
