Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Do you get any indication that your office is closing?

I’d appreciate if people that went trough office closures posted their experiences, that is, if there are such folks on this board. Do they give you some heads up or is that info dropped on the employees when a closure is set to happen? How do they break it to the employees?

There are well over 900 sites across all of Honeywell. Aero has the least number of sites since they have sites with larger numbers of people. HBT has some sites with as few as 20 people

The site shutdowns will get rolling after the May 15 announcement mentioned in town hall.

Listen to the first 5 minutes. Darius says your manager will have a career discussion with you on your Mobility by June 15. We go an email about the career discussion but didn't mention Mobility. However in your career profile on HR Direct you need to indicate if you will relocate and by what date

For those who won't move, the curtain is coming down on your career. Thanks for supporting my 401k

there are 92-ish Aero sites, not 900, meaning closer to 40-45 sites closing. look to where the work done at your site is similar to other sites, or if your site doesn't have a lot of work - have you noticed it declining? not all sites affected are leased either. on top of that, believe about 1/2 of what you read here, as most of it is garbage.

Officially Darius stated in Earnings calls at least 50% of the sites will close. There are about 900 sites. 450 to close over 4-5 years means almost 100 a year. Small sites, leased sites, USA sites will likely be first if they are in high cost places like New Jersey, California, and Illinois or high cost countries like Germany and U.K.

In Albuquerque there was a very active rumor mill prior to the formal announcement.
