@2flu - Thanks for posting that article about Boeing. It was very interesting and makes one wonder when the tipping point will be coming where airliner crashes will be regular news.
The posted reader comments on the article were quite interesting too. Many old-timers at companies like GE, Boeing, and Honeywell can tell much of the same story.
Is it morally right that the reliability team reports directly to guys paid to deliver products earlier ?
I worked in Aero Engineering before I retired and most of that was in support of ISC. I know that my "noes" were a lot more important than my "yeses". ISC always did want a complete set of engineers reporting to them, not Engineering.

I know that the engineering department is moving much faster now that the reliability team was dispersed and reports directly to the guys paid to deliver products earlier. Want a bonus? Better give the right answer.
