Seems this is a turbulent year. Aside from the streaks of layoffs there are silent ones happening every day. Is there any way to figure out how many Oracle employees got laid off this year. I know that’s nearly impossible to determine , but I imagine the info woul be very interesting to see.

The question should be: how many Americans have been replaced with Indians H1Bs in the USA?
"A permanent rain cloud over them."
Its the cloud (rain or not) that has failed, so this situation.

I agree. Doesn't matter the topic, however. It's always doom and gloom with the loosers 24/7. A permanent rain cloud over them.
the question should be what's the net number. Seems Oracle is hiring, at the least, just as much as it is laying off.
Big companies generally retire divisions/ppl and build up new ones as they go along. It's the way it is.
This thread seems yo be an invitation gir every frustrated loser of all ilk yo pile on their c-apola. From H1B paranoia to forced resignations conspiracy theories to being replaced by youngsters. sigh
At least 22,000 since 6/1/2016
In the mean time American laid off employees are being replaced with Indians H1Bs, so it's difficult to track down.
It's also hard to count layoff numbers because Oracle is constantly hiring the youngsters and the total number of employees doesn't change by much.
Its in thousands. However the official figure is in hundreds because they are making the employees sign on a proper resignation letter, where the employee is resigning "at will"....the only other option in this "coerced personal will" is 'termination'. So if people resign at their own will, it's not counted as a lay-off figure submitted to the authorities or media.
