Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Unofficial official layoff report 4/14/2019

Looks like another 50 people or so we’re laid off this last week, bringing the total since 6/1/2016 to 22,036.

Keep looking folks, keep looking nothing good is going to happen at Oracle especially now that the Pentagon has make it clear that oracle cloud doesn’t cut it compared to AWS and Azure.

All these are official figures that the company needs to report legally. This is misleading because most employees are "forced" to resign "wilfully" in the lay-off meetings. These resignation figures are not presented as lay-offs to authorities.

I don't work for Oracle but what does the number 22036 actually represent.

For example, the company I work for has employees, third-party, and contractors in USA. Majority of the time, the contractors and employees get cut but the third-party either stays at the same level or increases which are majority H1Bs. Another words, my company is getting rid of full-time employees and contractors and replacing them with third party vendors either within USA (like USA Inforsys, USA Wipro, USA HCL, etc) or outsource the work to foreign countries like India, China, Philippines, Poland.

Perhaps if you have the info, it would be good to know the number of full-time employees, contractors, and third party vendor employees to give everyone a full picture to everyone where Oracle is heading in the coming days within USA.
