Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

'Here is your Sign'

In case you were wondering if all the chatter and rumors were true GIS...

Xerox all employee webinar on Tuesday to discuss 'Project Own It.' By the end of the month, we will no longer by Xerox employees. They will turn us admin over to HCL.

Working for HCL and training someone to do my job IS losing my job, I will quit and let them figure it out themselves!

for those administrative roles thinking they are losing their job to hcl, you are not. more than likely, you will be transitioned to hcl as an hcl employee who is working under contract for xerox. it's unlikely people will lose their job right away. you will still show up to the same office and do the same work, but by doing so, you will be training your replacement. how long your role as a contract employee lasts? who knows. probably right up until the point xerox is sold to the highest bidder.

So GIS cores, if we find out that our jobs are going to HCL then clearly they have no respect for us and how our hard work made them successful , then what do you say we show them our gratitude and tank quarter end, slack off, do the bare minimum, call out sick, etc, you get the picture, who's with me???? Why make them richer, they just plain deserve to rot in hell

I will not train my replacement. My pride is worth more than a shi++y severance. They can eat a d--k if they think I’ll train an overseas replacement. No way. It took me years to get wher I am. I welcome the chance to stick it to Xerox.

We all know our HR, COO's and Presidents know what is going down. This is so sad and shows the amount of humanity they really have towards all of us. Bad enough Xerox does not care. Survival Of The Fittess!!!

If you are asked to train your replacement, your severance will depend upon you doing it. I personally would not forego the severance just to stick it to Xerox but if it’s worth it to you, go for it.

XBS core leadership know what is going on for sure. They are being told not to say anything until the big reveal on Tuesday. It's disgusting how they are playing with peoples lives.

Is the rumor for XBS only or other organizations as well?

For anyone who has read this blog for months, none of this is a surprise. The consultants that were sniffing around the old GIS cores in January under the false premise of best practices (they must really think that we all are really stupid) were clearly mapping out the outsourcing of the Admin function during the second quarter. That's what is finally happening. My peers and I are ready to bolt especially if they expect us to train these id--ts. They can go F themselves - along with Icahn and that a-hole Johnny.

Typical Xerox. The biggest screw up of vacations. If everyone is not there, the sky will fall. You know at some companies, they don’t force ppl off vacation to listen to management pontificate. oh and Thanksgiving and Christmas....forget about it if you are in the field.

Do you think the XBS core leadership knows what’s going on? Has anyone got any communication about the Xerox Webex being mandatory?

HCL is bad news. They'll take over a group and after a year or so, when their "real employees" have some idea what your job is, you'll be gone. Don't worry that their employees don't know all of the job content, the expectations from "management" align to the new performance norm.

Been there and done that....

My coworker in Norwalk just overheard a couple of Indian guys saying they 'finally' (their own words) signed the contract. A multimillion dollar contract that will transfer to HCL over 6000 employees from around the world for restructuring purposes.

HCL is a very well known outsourcing company based in India but bad reputation precedes them here in the US

I bet that is what they will be announcing on Tuesday

@Y4g6OlU-jui

Are you with XBS or Xerox Direct?

It is known that HCL is in the picture and its been discussed with the XBS core leadership, but last I heard they were not informed the scale or timing of it.

I had vacation scheduled and was told I am no longer able to take it because it is required all employees be attending for Monday the 18th and Tuesday the 19th if that tells you anything... BIG R.I.P.
