Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Where are you getting information from?

Other than this site, which appears to be growing in numbers who are visiting, where are you getting your information, rumors, gossip, b__ching?

I can say that XBS and local core leadership are not communicating because they do not know much more then they have said publicly. When something goes down they are getting as little notice as possible, and often not told the full story. Just what they have to tell them to get information out of them.

The information we have at the core level is through piecing things together with what other cores are hearing/seeing, and rumors. I will say that very little of what I have seen here the last few months has been flat out wrong. Some was of a different scale, only applied to certain groups within Xerox, or the timing was off.

It has been the uncertainty that has been the worst of all. No one knows who is safe or how long so no one is giving 100%. It is hard to care about little things when you see Xerox doing things that make no sense, or if they were done slightly differently would save even more money or with less disruption.

I appreciate this site. Most of the ‘rumors’ have been accurate. I hear most of this from my customers and it’s embarrassing. It helps me be ahead of the conversations. Btw NO ONE is monitoring our emails. Let’s be real people XBS IT is busy setting up our virtual offices and Xerox doesn’t care! From what I am seeing their IT team can’t handle much. This whole transition has been painful. Talk to other cores if you want we are all on the same team. It’s not XBS managements failt - they don’t know and are just being dictated from above. I am personally going to work as hard as I can make the most money I can during this time and I suggest you do too. We had a good 12 + year run I personally made a lot of money and worked for a great company with great people...be happy and thankful for that. Is everyone else seeing competition extremely aggressive? Canon is giving product away at half our cost not sure how they are affording it. We are a huge red target 🎯 try to stay positive. This is very sad watching XBS getting torn apart. We will move on from this and all end up ok. I just don’t see how this can turn out in our favor. If anyone can paint me a positive picture of the outcome I would love to hear it.

To OP, this entire blog is a rumor blog. Does that answer your question? The blog just happens to be 95% accurate. Say Hi To HR for me.

In our case, admins were just let go. We have only lost two so far. But people are jumping ship, too.

Did the admins lose their jobs or were they rebadged to HCL?

Text your friends if you can. That’s what I did. I have a friend at the Chicago core. He/she hasn’t been told much, if anything. I don’t want anything on IM or email. I tell everyone I can about this site.

I'm dying to email my contacts at the sister cores to see what is going on at their cores but feel Xerox is probably monitoring our emails, we're hearing little things here and there about some layoffs, I tell everybody I see at work to come here, I find it pretty reliable and really appreciate everyone's posts, please sister cores post and let us know, we closed sales offices only so far and no layoffs at my headquarters yet!

I work at a Global core and we closed five of eight offices. Two admin staff were let go, but we didn’t have many admin in those locations. It’s been sad to watch. It all happened so quickly.

What global core were you with? GDP? We have no idea who has closed or who is still open?

I worked at a global core company. Xerox closed 4 out of 5 branches that we had. All the admin people lost their jobs.

So far most of the information here has been correct. Since the spineless management can't manage to tell us what's coming, we need to rely on whatever information we can get.

Last fall there had been some reliable information here. But since then, it seems information here is almost 100% pure speculation. I can speculate all I need. It would be nice to minimize the "what if this happens" discussions which seem to be 90% of what is here.

why are u here? Are u trying to confirm how reliable our b-ing can be? Red alert? It might an hr or management whisperer... hey take some time to look around at ur company and mates.. then ill figure out where the gossip and rumors come from and u won’t have to end up here asking us how reliable we are with our comments of getting ur a-- cutt of any time now.

It's not hard, just walk down the hallway and start talking to your coworkers or other managers. You'd be surprised at how fast info gets around, especially if it's bad news.

I get most of my info from here. If it’s something I’ve read elsewhere or experienced at my office (and don’t see it posted recently), I’ll post it here.

I also have Google alerts set up for Xerox so I can keep up with the general Xerox news.

I really wish we had a way to spread this site far and wide to all the other cores.
