Weeks after the Allstate Corporate office fired its fulltime security officers without notice it issued 90 day notices to many employees. They were told their jobs would be sent to India workers.

You’ll never get this right. I work in Claims, but not in HO, and know more about this business, have serviced more customers, and developed more employees than you’ll ever dream of.

You have a fixation on HO “fluff” jobs, which suggests you have a myopic, inbred view of our organization, and have never worked outside your MCO. What’s worse, is you have no ambition to. That’s probably a good thing, given your communication challenges.

Allstate would love to move as much of their operation as they can to GENPACT. They do such a fantastic job with IT go for it! US producers prepare for major shifts beancounters running ship after 20 years of past partying and daydreaming. Hangover is a b____

You reveal you work in a home office fluff job because you care more about perfect syntax on an INFORMAL message board than content. Your remind me HO guy that posts grammar tips monthly in intranet.

Look: you are either producer (agent) or cost containment (claims) and yes tertiary acknowledgement to portfolio management. I bet most of you kool Aid drinking rosy glass apologists have some lame staff or admin position that rest of us pay for with our work. You’re welcome.

So, when you say “the rest of the company “, you’re talking about the area you worked in. Claims is far and away the largest employee group (16,000) in the company.

Claims may be ok for now but the rest of the company is falling apart. We can’t hire fast enough to replace those who left. Also, you know why we are implementing Agency of the future.

What “facts” have I avoided ? Allstate Claims has a lower turnover rate than its sector competitors (financial services), or the industry. Those are facts. “Leaving in droves” is not a fact.

No, I don’t work in corporate relations. The fact that I can write a sentence without a grammatical or spelling error notwithstanding.

id--t response, but not surprising, given your lack of basic business acumen. Go scream at the clouds some more.

What surprises me is that you don’t know what you are talking about.

Yes, in a company of 40,000 employees, “many” leave every year. If “the employee relocation strategy”, means more office consolidation, fewer physical locations with higher employee headcount in those locations, yes, I’ve heard of it, as has every other company. It’s a rational business strategy.

We’ll have fewer physical locations (possibly many fewer), with bigger centralized offices. Why is this a surprise ?

Many have left Allstate. Ever heard of the current Employee Relocation Stategy and pension changes done last year?

“Leaving in droves”, huh ? I have access to those numbers, and you’re wrong. This thread started with a lie about “fired security officers”, and continued with an underperforming employee that can’t find other work, or express a coherent thought.

Worked there. Past tense. Don’t post about your golden years to is suffering thru pay freezes no medical insurance c-ap pension and ridiculous workload that cannot possibly be done in 50 hour work week.

Go back to playing bridge in your retirement. Those in pension are miserable those not are leaving in droves. Mgt

Doesn’t care.

It’s great to work at Allstate. The less you work the more you are paid.

To the “company who cares nothing about their employees “ poster; what’s the basis for your comment. I worked there, and I had a different experience. I worked hard and was rewarded.

Why would a company who cares nothing about their employees have a security force in the first place?

Now that makes sense. It’s a far cry from “fired without notice”, and it’s the merging/acquisition of two private security firms, that have Allstate as a client. They’re not Allstate employees, and Allstate didn’t fire anyone. I won’t even address the outsourcing of on-site security roles to India. Brainless.

Not sure about regions but in HO one security vendor purchased another security vendor, all security personnel needs to reapply, if they fail, they fired.

That’s why it’s probably bogus. No details. No fact. What “security officers” ? Highly unlikely Northbrook would eliminate security. By the way, “security officers” are not Allstate employees, so while Allstate May switch vendors, they can’t “fire” the individuals.

Fake BS
