Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

IT PEEPS

IT peeps - For what it is worth...Thank You. I have always had a great experience whenever I called you guys. Every person I spoke to was understanding that I knew a bit about computers but not to the extent of someone in IT's realm, but you never made me feel like I was "less" than you...so thank you and I wish all of you the best in your future endeavors.

Note: I know that some ppl are going to use this thread as a platform to bash IT. Please don't. Everyone has negative experiences with departments or ppl daily..I am just saying this was MY experience only.

Yeah we’re pretty much stealing as much time as we can at this point. It’s only going to get worse as the end date nears

Dont blame the employees - we saw 30+ people quit / get fired and only 2 promotions over 2.5 years.

Most of us were working on a promise that is now broken.

I have to admit I’m one of the lazy ones. I wasn’t always that way- but I surely am now. My feet are up most of the day, and I’m also a product of the friends and family. Sorry about my laziness- I’m trying to find some motivation here.

Sorry to hear bad experiences, but glad to be leaving a department that demanded more and more from its employees before it snapped.

Those of us that were hardworkers are now expeiencing panic attacks and sick days as the workload increases exponentially, and the laziest of us are getting off scott free.

The managers cant evem fire untrained people without months of terrible performance, and constantly absent attendance. It was the upper management that insured the service desk had a slow death and painful death.

What’s sad is the Service Desk (Help Desk) is/was night & day since I started. When I left in 2017 from my role it was an oiled machine that hit our KPI’s. It had a management staff that trutly gave a sh--. I am talking about Pat, Reggie and Tim. These guys put their heart and soul into it... I mean every day. These are Top notch guys and were always nothing but positive, eager to fix problems and driven to better the team. It’s a shame all the hard work was turned around an outsourced...

On top of that shout out to Every Service desk tech that stuck it out. You should be proud of what was accomplished. You guys kick a--. There was tremendous growth and a lot of people grinding hard to make things run as smooth as possible. You guys have a bright future ahead.

With our brothers in arms “DTS”, I have nothing but respect for the Melissa’s & Allen and all the dts techs under them. Collectively everyone made the face of IT look as good as we could considering the patch work of bubble gum and shoe strings holding that sh-- together.

Shout out to Pablo & Oscar the remaining mgmt OG’s Of NOC, true professionals.

Shout out to all the solid people within NOC, Telephony, Core engineering, service now team, security admin, IDM, Technical Writters, & the tools team. I wish I could name you all but this post would never end. Keep your heads up. Everyone did all they could.

Lastly understand that it was a pleasure working with you all. Miss the 2015-2016 days when things were brighter. Stay up & stay positive. The next good thing is around the corner for you.

From the inside, some IT departments are poorly managed and there is zero accountability. Some “IT PEEPS” come and go as they please and pay no attention to tickets waiting on them. Why should they? No one tells them otherwise. In my opinion a shake up of DTS is long overdue. Some people are waaaay too comfortable. Most of the techs are mediocre at best and work half the time there in the office. They’re going to have a hard time adjusting to a place where they actually have to produce. That’s if they can land an IT job.
