Honeywell Service Center[ONE STOP]

Has anyone had a issue with trying to get a hold of someone at the service center today?[ONE STOP] Everytime I try to call about my pension[which I haven't gotten yet in 13 months] The recording says its a 1-2 hour wait. Or call back the next business day.

How do you even find the paperwork in this mess of a company?! You cannot find anything on the websites and making a phone call... you have to take a damn vacation day to be on hold all day... cannot really do that when you are forced to find a new job or go to another hub since yours is closed. What so I can do all of this again!? I think not!

1aob - if you are getting a lump sum pension check, it should arrive about 4 months after you submitted your paperwork. Although HON gives you a date that you will get your check if you completed the paperwork before you left, they hold it an additional 2 months. Only place to complain is to the United States Department of Labor, the Employee Benefits Security Administration, but it doesn't appear this is an ERISA violation, so they can get away with it. It's b-s that they give you a date, and then don't honor it, as they did with me and others I know who have left.

These situations are weird since there is no particular benefit to Honeywell to hang onto the cash. They do have a legal obligation to do it according to rules so is it just another demonstration of incompetence whether it is not being clear on what needs to be submitted, or not handling that info correctly?

Oh it can certainly take a while.Because HON would not approve my QDRO until about the 6th plan we submitted it took me almost 12 months to start collecting my pension and my Lump sum payment. And a couple grand extra in legal fees. They did give me 3 months back pension pay and the interest on the lump sum until the month it was actually paid out but it's sad that they jack you around they way they do.

That's when you lawyer up and and sue them. Waiting 13 months is ridiculous.
