Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Updates to USA hub strategy?

Heard the next push for people to get pushed to hubs is going to be April 1 for Corp

The first deadline for the Charolette NC hub is tomorrow February 1 or they will be RIFd per the letter they received in December

Anyone heard the terms of moves where they do not offer a paid move package?

If no move package do you get the severance plan?

Per SPD search in HR Direct is says if you won't move you do not get severance. Severance Policy

Or is that no severance only if they offer a paid move package?

We had our TG IT townhall today and found out they will hire some employees to replace our outsourced SAP basis. But the roles if they are in USA must be in Charolette NC or Phoenix AZ. That part of hub strategy is still happening. No news for those non-hub people on when they will be laid off if they don't move

The earnings call from Friday February 1 made it clear. Listen to the Q &A at the end. The analysts asked about hub strategy and stranded costs. Darius said for stranded costs we are only half done and 2/3 of the stranded costs are in Corporate. So for example IT lost/cut about 25% of their workforce in2018 so they should expect at least that same cut this year for 2019 And I am sure it will be developed market only. USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France etc

And on site consolidation or hub strategy he said he would give more details in the Investors call in May. That call is normally in February so a delay to May means probably more big changes.

Listen to the Q&A at the end yourself. It's on www.honeywell.com in Investors section of events. Public information on your future. I know my future. I am out of here when MIP pays off March 15 and not until I see it deposited

The only Corp person I personally talked to who did not get severance was because HON offered a paid move package

I don't know anyone who was officially told their job is moving without them offering a move package

I know a lot of people who were asked if they would move, myself included. But so far I haven't been told anything official for myself.

Hopefully more clarity soon. Cannot wait for MIP March 15.... wish it was today!

Aerospace rif's for FQEs & SDEs field workers who will not move to a HUB starts next week Feb 4th. Severance is included. What a waste of talent and supplier knowledge.

FQE - Field Quality Engineer

SDE - Supplier Development Eng.

The Severance Plan SPD clearly states you do NOT get severance "If you are transferred to an affiliate or another business location"

Or if you are identified for a Reduction in Force and you decline employment at a different company location

Years ago it had a clause if they moved your site 60 miles or more you received severance but that was removed in 2016

The document title is Severance Plan SPD (Career Bands 0-4)

It's available by callling HR They removed it from HR Direct but you may find it by document search on internal web page

Corp Finance told. No severance. Time to get a good attorney since there is a precedent of paying severance, and some Finance personnel are getting their entire move paid for, if your boss likes you.

My understanding is those impacted with February 1 deadline do not get severance if they decline to move but they do get their MIP bonus and will be terminated end of March

This next batch of people to be informed will be told soon (by March) but they have not been informed yet and terms and conditions are also unknown

If MIP is paid out already when they are told they need to move I would think the second batch of people who decline would get severance unless they were offered a paid move package. Move packages are visible on HR Direct. Levels are 1-3 plus Executive Move
