Anyone in the Dallas document custody office been effected by these layoffs? I work in Pittsburgh document custody and was told not to worry. I have been down the layoff too many times and know what look for.

OP - you have nothing to worry? We have 3 bridges to sell you - pick one, look out your window and pick one! Your management is NOT to be trusted! Call your friends up at PNC and see if you can get in, soon!
Our upper management used the term "current effort" regarding the layoffs, saying that our department isnt one of them, but there will be restructuring of management....
CB is a management golden child. He will give in to whatever upper management says because when he fails at a job he just gets moved to another. The axe will be swung in doc custody.
You recieved the same canned "don't worry message " that all managers were TOLD to deliver to their reports. Reread the message you received and take head of how it is written using phrases such as "I've been told or I heard"...all a way to stop the rising tension and employee uprising while not literally telling you that you are safe so that there is no legal recourse from such statements. Misleading statements are not actionable and managers were told to deliver that email to all of their reports. The only thing it shows is how spineless and weasel like our direct managers really are to be alright with making people feel safe already knowing the clock is ticking and for whom the bell tolls.
