Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Working at McDonalds would be better than this

Xerox has become such a toxic company with all the uncertainty, stress, politics... I've found myself considering handing in my resignation and applying for work at McDonalds, just so I can enjoy a peaceful and frustration free life at least for a while. That's how bad it is here now.

If their goal is to break us, they're succeeding.

After 33 years I retired early. Tired of the BS. I got a job in a print shop running the machines I serviced.. love it. Stress free.

Just doing the job at Xerox was easy .

Having to deal with the politics and

useless, know nothing, ego driven management is what made it

difficult ...

Well you would be moving from a Junk bond company to a Junk food company.

Rec Start yourself a small business and be your own boss. Good luck.

Hey worked for McDonald's back in the day in high school. Worst job I ever had. You think it is rough here try going home with french fry crumbs wedged between the grooves of your sneaker soles, cleaning out the oil of the fryer and having to report to a 22 year old manager with no people skills. No one ever said that low paying jobs were peaceful and stress free. But if working at a McDonald's is on your bucket list, go for it.

Matthew 11:28

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."

Don't let any job/ any thing cause you stress. Do the best you can do and let God do the rest.

If you lose your job it will just the beginning of a new adventure. I've been with Xerox over 30 years and if they no longer need me, there is someone out there that does.

All I can say is if you can't do your job under the current circumstances, then how can you survive working at McDonalds with all the demands of the fast food industry.

And you won't have any relentless bean counters hanging over your shoulder policing how much ketchup you put on a burger while always trying to force you to cut back!
