Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

BNY Mellon causing their own perfomance problems

Whether you were let go or remain, you were/are affected by BNYM’s policies. Everyone is worried about their own job, and affected by the things they are asked to do to their fellow workers. Morale is just horrible, and this affects productivity. Out sourcing is not working out as planned, because experienced workers are still needed to guide the newbies, and lower management is worried about losing those workers, which seems to be the company’s end plan. And the company is losing business, with a shrinking US investor population, and diminishing service to their clients that remain. I cannot imagine how they can succeed this way. Could this be the proverbial sinking ship? Time will tell...

Please. The public doesn’t care. The media has done a good job of painting FIs as the devils spawn. Do what you can to prepare yourself for any outcome. You, after all, are the only one who really cares about your career and the path it takes. Because you’ll have to live with it.
