Massive Layoffs in IT

Multiple teams and locations impacted today. More than 200 names from my understanding.

So true @XUhL2Ew-3mpt.

Nepotism and poor management is a huge issue why AIG is never going to turn around. Any company that has to regularly lay off staff every March and reorg every other year has serious issues. Inevitably, poor managers end up doing random layoffs and force out real talent while preserving inept pet employees.

AIG talent is lacking. Useless managers hiring useless people. IT is just as bad as it was 3 years ago. Wyse s---s, even basic MS office hangs every so often. No money so ended up hire B talents and let them go and then hire C talents.

Interesting. Prior RIF's I've seen may have been later in the year.

Unless the policy changed. Is there is some point where they pay part of current year STI?

LTI is for upper management and I would advise you to go ask them.

Company policy has been to give full 2018 STI but not partial 2019 for March RIF, and they have followed this. Anyone know what the LTI policy is for the 2019 grant if laid off in March?

You typically receive partial year STI for the quarter in which you retire or are RIFF'ed.

I'm sure they want to avoid paying 2 quarters vs. 1.
