Follett really should consider raising the pay if they want anyone to work for them.

It is incredibly hard to get anyone to work for minimum wage. Most jobs start out at atleast $8-$9 here, so no one is wanting to work for $7.25. It’s almost embarrassing to even ask people to work for such a low amount, especially since the job demands them to learn so much in a few days and they constantly have customers screaming in their faces because they don’t know what they’re talking about. Atleast this is true for my store. Follett really should consider raising the pay if they want anyone to work for them.

Several states have raised the minimum wage to $15/hour. I can't see follett's business model lasting with that pressure. You have to hire better if you must pay better. If $15/hour is table stakes, getting good people will cost more. Once a good person starts, they won't have the tools or the guidance to perform well.

Why are you trying to hire? Why bring in people from a decent job market. They should find a good job, not work for follett. Why aren't you interviewing elsewhere? This stink pit is struggling in a decent economy. What happens when we hit our next recession? Now is the time to leave.

Hiring others for this company is not very nice.

Losing another associate due to low pay & hours going up & down.

What is the shrinkage this year?

Associates that accept minimum wages plan to make up the difference through pilfering.

Our minimum is $8.25 & people said no thanks, very hard to find good staff at those wages.
