People who have devoted 15 to 25 years of their working lives to this company, worked their way up, and contributed so much, are being walked out with no goodbyes. Everyone is afraid. They cut tons of people in Offices including Pittsburgh, New York city, oriskany, NY etc. While some choices At least make some sense, there are others where Knowledge and dedication was tossed aside like nothing. They are trying to keep this secret so that they don’t get the bad press, I hope that people spread the word; we got nothing from the tax break, not one dollar trickled down, and they are doing away with work from home and other perks. Customer service will suffer, knowledge is gone, employees are stretched thin and undervalued.

@rzl you may find the economy to not be as healthy as you expect. Anyhow, I wish your spouse all the best, I hope she really finds something quickly (my family went through a similar experience in September and it was not smooth).

for people that work at a bank you show no idea of economics or basic policy. nobody was brought up to minimum wage. they increased the wage so nobody makes less than $15.00 an hour. minimum wage in all 50 states fall below this point, and this was a direct result of the tax cut.
also it wasn't just a few who were raised up to $15 per hour. many outside the big cities got raises because of this. it s---s that i have to stick of for this horrible company, but good god your ignorance is just that.
@Nervous +1 vote up from me. Good and true post... My wife was laid off today, 17 years with the bank. It's time to move on, this dragged for way too long and the bank morphed into something that I am glad she's not associated with any more. The economy here in the NYC is fine and I am hopeful she'll transitioned into a much healthier work arrangement relatively quickly.
Yes tax cuts were sold as increasing a few up to minimum wage like he was a Saint.Im sure those who received the small increase were laid off as well this week.
