Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Nearly 20 years....gone

At first I was given a meets target, then was told they needed 10% to be below target, but was assured this would not affect my raise or bonus. As my manager says "s..t flows down hill and there I was. I let them lie on my review and accepted it like a tool. Well that was just before Christmas. Then on Monday, after nearly 20 years, gone. Thanks Chaz

2017 Managers were told pick 10% of your team and give them a grade of Below Expectations by Charlie/Bridget’s design. There were 3 of us. My boss, my manager & me. Who do you think got the below expectations grade😏

I’ve been with company 12 yrs. Review: “you are not doing your job”. Provide examples of below expectations - Answer: You don’t send proper emails. Examples: I’ll have to get back to you.

I wrote that I disagree with my evaluation that I did not meet expectation. Almost 40 years there I never had a bad rating. I had no warning. During my evaluation I was happy cause I thought it was good. I was never told I was not meeting expectations until the end of the evaluation meeting. How??? How is this right? How is this ethical.? We need a lawyer to tell us our rights. I know I'm next. I've been there a long time. When I laid off I might not even get severance. How?? I could of went off and got another job anywhere but I was devoted to this company.
