He left because of oracle cloud failure?
I noticed that one of TK's top lieutenants from RDBMS/EM is a VP at Google now. Can't say whether he preceded TK or not but maybe TK is quietly bringing the band back together in Mountain VIew.
He (AG) had left ORCL many months before TK.

I've often wondered how the term "temp" became "contractor". It's not like temps have bona fide contracts, the kind executives have, which guarantee salary and payouts should the contract be terminated prematurely (i.e. the exec be fired). From what I have observed, temps can always be terminated immediately, with no compensation. I suppose that in theory they have contracts, but those contracts only benefit the employer.

TK is seen as a future CEO at Google. His star shines brightly at Google so much that Oracle's loss here is something they might never recover from.
Well, that would certainly be a great way to speed up Google’s demise - TK and his gang have to be able to do it much faster second time around, now that they have a road tested playbook based on destroying oracle.
