How many are getting out?? Feed up with low pay, no help. More work piled on, etc., etc...

Congrats to the previous poster, it’s sad Follett does not care about its loyal store managers, we work hard for the schools & students, and slapped in the face continuously by HO, most of whom have never stepped foot in a store. Where was HO help during rush? So they could see what happens? Why are the RM, vps & rvp’s not out in the field bagging books? Doing price matching? Listening to teachers complaints?
Good luck to you, you deserve better.
It is just sad when you like your job, the people you work with (in your store and on campus), the school values you, but you feel forced to make a change because the company you work for doesn't care about you, your school, your employees.
Pay is so low as a long term manager that I actually qualify for financial assistance. I informed my business contact that after rush I am giving notice, explained the financial piece, he was appalled, had no idea I made so little for the job I do, said I should be making equal to a depatment head, as that is truly what we are. He offered me a job. Rush started last week, notice is being given today. 1 week. I owe Follett nothing more than that. Oh, and my as quit Friday!
Unfortunately it will only get worse. Nothing is going to reduce the work load and Follett has no automation.
Expect the exodus to continue after spring rush. Managers who know better will jump ship come February.
