I've never understood the whole stadium naming thing. Corporate America seems to trip over each other for these naming rights. I just don't see it providing any real value. If you asked me who sponsors the stadium in city X, I probably wouldn't even know.

The picture of MH and SC with Giants jerseys at the park is vomit-inducing.

The utter brilliance of the 3 stooges, or how to piss away money on incompetent senior execs and useless ‘marketing’ activities. What are these mo--ns going to waste money on next. Oh, wait, I forget, they’re already wasting billions on oracle stock which had nowhere to go but down - that’s a great investment, right? What a bunch on imbeciles.

Oracle Park is the start of the turn around desperately needed by Oracle. We all know sports sells software. Look at the Tennis tournaments started by MH, now Oracle Park. That will fix everything, people will start adopting the Oracle cloud now.

You see the problem with the Oracle cloud is that the customers don't know it exists. The reason customers don't know Oracle has a cloud is because the over priced old aged sales team stinks.

Solution: replace old age sales team with young college kids, buy up sports centers, host tennis tournaments and put Oracle cloud advertisements on the bill boards. Thats the way to sell cloud! Go MH, you genius you.

Save Oracle from this c-appy sales team!

They spend all of the marketing dollars here!! It's a home run!! Have no clue about marketing. Never did. It's just about EGO!! Not funding for conferences, tech ads, promotions with partners, etc. etc.

FWIW, Oracle has been paying for the naming rights for the venue where the Golden State Warriors play, which JP Morgan Chase is taking over, so It sounds like O will still have one sponsored venue, so no new expense.

If you doubted there would be more significant layoffs, doubt no more, they have to pay for this somehow - it is an expense - while keeping EPS up

Yes but maybe you can have fond memories of former employer while watching baseball on TV while sitting home unemployed.
