Layoffs in some groups this week?

I have it from good sources that there were a small number of layoffs this week, but only in some groups. I also hear there will be some more early next year.

There is also a fair amount of attrition....maybe greater than the layoff numbers.

For now management's strategy seems to be getting 5-10% from layoffs and an equal amount from attrition...it adds up over time.

Don't bother checking the WARN stats....It's always updated after the fact because of the nature of the severance package. It's never a problem to meet the 60 day notice requirement.

Sad to see the anguish this is causing so many.

Attrition in our group is now hurting. We've lost some good folks who gave notice and walked off.

Of course there were some less than stellar folks who were laid off also.

Most of us very unhappy to work evenings and weekends anymore; cannot see how spring target will be hit. Sad to see. Lets all get on LinkedIn and look for something better in 2019.

Sure company have made their savings; but at what cost ?

WARN Notices are filed on the day of layoff notices and it starts the 60 day period.
