Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Only senior management will relocate to Charlotte

In light of the announcement that Honeywell is moving its headquarters from New Jersey to Charlotte, the company stated that it plans to employ about 500 people locally and that the headcount in the Charlotte headquarters is supposed to reach a number of 750 employees, adding the number of relocated people. With that said, it's easy to conclude that only senior management is going to be relocated and everybody else at HQ can start packing their bags.

HR has started asking Corp employees if they will volunteer to move to Charlotte

Even if they are in a hub like Phoenix or Morris Plains

The news paper details of the promise is different than what company is saying. Basically 500 people will move there by end of 2020. At least 250 in 2019..... RIFs to start in January under the HUB excuse

Having the move paid for in cases like this has been a standard practice in companies for decades and it's refreshing that Honeywell is still doing it for this, at least.

I know some IT and SBG Marketing people who were told they have until March to accept or decline roles in Charlotte or they are out. Since it is a paid for move package if they decline they still get their March MIP bonus (band 4) but no severance

I don't know how many people have accepted but they will be rolling this out to more people until they reach their 2019 head count goal or commitment to North Carolina

Does anyone else find it interesting that DA is adding a "rooftop" while closing so many others?

MP will bleed down employees until the 10 year agreement with NJ is completed; then everyone will be in Charlotte (or unemployed) and another rooftop will be successfully closed.

Yeah, I saw that number too, but let's not expose our statistical ignorance by overlooking the fact that CEO pay of, I forget, but maybe $10,000,000 can affect that average a lot. The more useful number would be the median. Someone else with more time and interest could play with numbers and figure out how many lower pay people it would take to drag the average down.

In one article I read it stated AVE. salary was 340K. So that should give everyone a clue it's mostly Senior management.
