Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Autonomous Manager

My current Manager just does nothing, he meets no customers, does not even come out his cabin to network with hiwbpeers, meet leadership team or even ask his team on what they do. I was purtured with his behaviour.

Not anymore. I realized I have Autonomous Manager. I have no complaints now. What ever will happen will happen, it is all decided and Scripted by God Jesus.

Cheers guys we are Autonomous corporation. We are inconsequential in this Autonomous corporation.

If the team had been doing good work, they would still be there.

I had a manager who never ever left his house. He wouldn't even travel for work. It was a pretty sweet gig from his perspective until they laid his whole team off.

There are lots of reasons why people don't travel. Some people have health problems or issues at home they have to take care of. You don't know what might have been going on in this man's life at the time. Sorry for the consequences, though.

I have started working hard real hard for myself, to gain back my confidence.

Let's see if I manage to get a job with this change in approach.

This is what everyone needs to do. You can't fix Oracle. Really, no one can fix Oracle. The top guys and probably the entire BoD are focused on buying back stock to support their own loans against it.

This is instead of investing in the company at the rate required to fix things.

Nothing is going to get better. Take your life in your hands. There are lots of ways to invest in yourself and your own skill set.

good management? they replaced real managers because they were expensive with kids in sales hub. tech skills in hubs are great but management skills are totally different. pretending you are a manager, doesn't make you one so the attrition is awful and the smart guys leave the team. it seems less expensive, but costs more.

LE never cared about good management, nor do MH or SC

I know your point. If your manger doesn't fight, why you fight hard...

my manager is the same. all he does is bending the reality to his interests and ego, praising himself before his manager and hating silently the company, his managers, his team and about everyone else around him. and yes, he is a very successful manager and that speaks a lot about the quality of the management. it's not a good environment to be in

Life is just that easy. Just ignore everything that is going on around you.
