They’re working on a minimal capital spend program I’d wager. Deferring CL Phase H startup, debottlenecking projects, Marten Hills, Deep Basin, you name it.
That's usually the start.
They dropped a couple of VP’s and promoted a new one. Not a lot of change otherwise.
Heard from a current employee, layoffs are happening.
Maybe now that the vp in supply chain has been fired it will stop the bleed of the good ones left. Too bad it took them so long to finally show him the door - lost lots of smart people. Stop bringing over laid under qualified people and start recognizing existing talent

They still have group leads of two people and so many senior specialists in HR it’s a joke. They refuse to right size the mgmt, just getting rid of peons.
Why oh why do they need so many levels? Make these group leads or managers actually do some work!! Get rid of some of them.
If the past is any indication, anyone in a manager position and up should be pretty safe.

It wouldn't surprise me as this seems to be the only thing CVE can deliver on. If true, they may decide to stick to < 50 per month for the next six or eight months to avoid government/media disclosure.
