Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Surprised there’s been no talk on here about the recent hack in the news...

Merry Christmas....

This was happening in an acct that I am aware of and internal meetings were limited to very limited audiences. I’m talking bosses of direct account team members not even allowed to be told

@WL4RG2K-3bjx I call BS on the resignations being down to this.

Do you imagine that the compromise was broadcast to everyone in DXC? This sort of thing will be held super highly secret and known only to a handful of people working on it. I'll bet less than fifty people knew this even existed...

Any security incident is potentially dynamite, let alone one of this scale.

Clearly the clowns at HPE screwed up but wait HPE became DXC. As a DXC customerthis has been noticed and will be followed up in the new year. DXC cannot assume that this news will go away,

2 of DXC's client account personnel resigned n the last 2 months ahead of this news

“@WL4RG2K-1hpr I can tell you who screwed up here... other than Mikey's due diligence team, it wasn't DXC”

DXC screwing up is NOT news. It is what they do. Nothing new here.

It really isn’t good at all. Accounts have accused dxc of this for several years and dxc denied culpability. Wonder well how that will work now

@WL4RG2K-mgv If only we had more Security experts like you, this never would have happened.

I hope to hell we've not been stupid enough to employ you anywhere near security...

More negative press, but really the problem

Is with the anti-virus software both DXC and IBM deploys and not so much about the negative of each company

Appalling Medicare c----up exposing patient names, addresses, I’d numbers, account no’s, transactions, etc, etc Just the mere suggestion of personal details being lost is damaging to the client’ reputation and brand and will make them rue the day they employed DXC.

It is currently in damage mitigation mode. Details are now attorney-privilege until the cause of the breach is known and plugged and the size of the data footprint identified and notified to the client and a review of the privacy impact assessments conducted will no doubt be re-reviewed.

Not the first time in recent years that dxc has been behind sensitive data losses and clearly is not a company that can be trusted with the protection and storage of sensitive or personal data, let alone be entrusted to process it.

Roll on feb 14th!

Senior management busy sending out death threats to all Security people to not discuss this with clients or anyone else but to refer everyone to talk to Legal instead.

I'd doubt if there are many people with any knowledge of it at all anyway...

The good thing about a complete lack of brand recognition is that the whole world ignores all the bad news about you too. DXC Technology sounds like some no name company created in the last couple of years you can safely ignore.

Well the article starts out accusing hpe and quickly corrects to dxc. Dxc can only hope this fades into nothingness due to holidays otherwise coming back to a sh**storm
