Whoever thought the court would not approve the executive bonuses is either very naive or poorly informed. As disgusting as it is, this was expected. The company wants to prevent the executives from jumping ship in this critical situation and want to secure that they see this through to the end, whatever the outcome might be. The court also responds to this move considering it logical, o there was no question that the bonuses would be approved.
But for me, another question comes to mind. The very same people that brought Sears are now receiving rewards and none of them have any problem with it. Not even one of them turned the bonus down in the interest of a struggling company that made them rich in the first place. It makes me sick to think about what kind of people have we looked at as our leaders?
