No Christmas Bonus again no shocker but

Ok so once again we are screwed out of a Christmas bonus not a shocker. But at least last year we got the news from our CEO in an email. This year we get it from some guy that runs the video conferencing stream. And tier 1 tech support gets the news with a back handed story with him saying the company is moving towards a pay per performance model and the holiday bonus does not fit in with that I would like to know how does tech support fit in with pay per performance because on the Cris side we are union and for us unfortunately way past our cap we get a price of living raise every year of .40 cents or so that's it. I really hate working for this company and I hope Jeff storey chokes on his millions they never will figure out how the left hand talks to the right ever

Never will there be a holiday bonus at Centurylink, it just doesn't tie into the performance base pay. It's not that they don't have the money, it would be a waste in their eyes to give all employees(good and bad) that bonus since it's not tied to anything. We also didn't receive christmas cards, our those performanced based as well(I'm not joking)? I'm not going to pretend I know all the in's and out's of all this stuff and how it works, but would of been a kind gesture(think about the people(human beings) helping you get to the bottom line) to at least get a christmas card like we do every year. Those days are over, so sad.

I'm guessing that someone raging at the thought of performance based pay probably did sh-- at his performance review.

Again......I was going to watch the meeting they had a couple weeks ago(where I heard they mentioned this), but I was way to busy(less people around) to stop what I was doing. Hopefully this does not carry over to our merit raise next year, we shall see!

$.40 cost of living increase???

we get a price of living raise every year of .40 cents or so that's it.

What are you complaining about??? Most of us non union are lucky if we have seen a $.25 increase in the past 3 years.

Why on earth should would length of service and age have anything to do with salary. Someone younger, smarter and a harder worker should get more... Meritocracy boy... Union entitlements are from the 50s create lazy employees..

The sense of entitlement is strong with this one.

So no xmas bonus? Word on that not oit to techs in the east yet. No surprise though. Heard that whole based on performance c-ap in a meeting with a VP. Tells us age and years of sevice will no longer dictate salary. Great for young guys, s---s for guys who have given their whole life to this c-appy outfit.

So now a kid off the street comes in at top pay with 3 weeks or more vacation, that senior guys worked YEARS to get. And, if the new level 0 management think the millenial is s---ing up more than the older guy, they are going to get a better bonus. Nice.

Actually prefer no email telling me they have no money for a Christmas bonus. Especially when they make billions a year.
