Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Interesting Changes

Ohio is doing a lot of shakeups in regards to buildings...downsizing in one city’s office to a smaller building, moving around in another, with rumors of downsizing to a different building as well. Also having executives leaving left and right. Very tense and high alert. But people are still being sent home remote. Perhaps they will transition to full remote workforce (except contact center) to save money? That is the rumor around here. Doesn’t make sense to invest all the money in equipment to send people home when you are getting ready to sell. When Jz was here, open threats made that if Case Management failed to “prove their worth” to him, that he would eliminate the entire department.

Yes, so far 2 that I know of, are transitioning out. It’s more allowing them leave with dignity. This treatment should be fair across the board!!!! Everyone should be able to leave with dignity!

Good point on staying focused and hopeful. But I’m hearing some of the “higher-ups” at Corp that survived this far are starting to be shown the door....and will be exiting soon.

True, Long Beach is too expensive. Especially in the location corporate is at.

Nobody will keep a presence in Long Beach. The Molina’s built there because they have a vested interest in the city. It doesn’t make business sense to stay. WHEN were sold, any jobs left will be in Texas, North Carolina, or anywhere else with lower taxes, wages, and rent. I admire your positivity but it’s a wrap for the LBC.

Im not optimistic - I get that it may be sold but I also want to do a good job and hopefully be kept around so (insert new company name here) keeps me and I dont have to lug my a-- around for a job. Im just saying that the higher ups I know are good enough ppl to at least give me a nod to put on my lifevest and swim over to the career section of the Queen Mary.

I’m with the folks who are realistic about this Molina situation. It’s over. Stop fooling yourself. Stay or leave but at least realize what everyone in the industry knows. How are people working there even wondering about the future?! There is zero mystery.

The Queen Mary can’t sink because it is built on concrete. It’s not even floating. Molina isn’t built on anything that stable.

Adios Molina. Long live The Queen Mary!

Sounds about right! You know it’s bad when Molina sinks before the Queen Mary does....good god...run don’t walk folks!!

Your optimism is sweet. It’s over folks. IT is going soon. If you think support is bad now, just wait. Other departments will continue to be outsourced or eliminated. This pack of jackals is here for one thing, lean it up for a sale and cash out. If you think anything else you’re fooling yourself. The vibe in Long Beach is dismal. Everyone seems to just be showing up, nothing more. I’m riding out the clock for severance then off to new adventures.

The execs leaving is coincidental..I assure you. I know the one has been wanting another position for almosr a year - wanted bigger and better. The other is leaving for a better opp. as well. The one exec I know is very honest and very upfront and would give us a sign if it was time to put on life jackets and swim. Ohio isnt really a problem state for Molina - we consistently make money.

Did he really say that? I thought he was touring the states doing these brown bags letting people know that things would turn around - and “settle” (for those who would still have a job). He told us he was looking to revive the culture and that he was there to stay (until sold) and that he even bought a condo.
