I'm an engineer, so I'm used to working OT for free. So, last week I had Friday planned as a vacation day (approved a few months ago by my supervisor). And of course, all of a sudden, there was a deadline for a delivery on Friday. So last week Monday through Thursday I worked and put 44 hours on the time sheet, got the work done, and then put 0 hours for Friday and took Friday off. I was informed today that needed to still charge 8 hours vacation for Friday! Great negative reinforcement for getting the job done on time!
I am not an id--t. Next time it's 32 hours + 8 vacation and F@*K the deadline.
