The newspapers do not care about this. A great majority of the people getting laid off are certainly over 40 as they are making a good salary. I have seen this throughout my years at this company. Most of them will not be replaced and if they are they will be replaced will recent college grads at a fraction of the cost. This is the new way of doing business at AIG. They are loosing a lot of talent and you can not put a price on that as you well can see.
I've sent tips to many. I think they would be more responsive if more people reached out.
What about tip offs to major papers and news websites
Isn’t anyone concerned most of those laid off are over 40? Isn’t that against the law?
That would be awesome. I felt I had to do something. I feel powerless and I hate that. I also called and left an anonymous message for Elizabeth Warren because she hates big businesses that do this sort of thing.
I think I may try to do the same as well
I've reported the layoffs anonymously to several big newspapers. No response. I don't think they care.
nothing will be in the papers bec/ they do the RIF's in small #'s....thus they are non reportable. There is a method to their madness.
I'm sure they haven't followed the law as it was intended. I'm also surprised that nothing at all has been in the newspaper or news regarding all the layoffs that have occurred so far.
